Under the Treasury Laws Amendment (Payday Superannuation) Act 2025, superannuation guarantee contributions must be paid in line with each pay cycle and reach the employee's fund within 7 business days of payday. Missing that window triggers the redesigned Superannuation Guarantee Charge — and late super can now breach the Fair Work Act and relevant awards, not just tax law.
